AI Graphics Generators

I’d like to delve into AI graphics and image generators. I’ve had limited success with ChatGPT for generating graphics. (Otherwise I love ChatGPT.)

Here’s what I’ve found so far:

  1. Image-FX from Google – I’ve had good luck with this one.
  2. Canva Free Online AI Image Generator – Has the advantage of being part of Canva (a well-established graphics tool).
  3. Adoby Firefly – Has easy-to-use tools on the left-hand side. However, the free version seems to be limited.
  4. DALL-E 3 from https://openart.ai/ I believe this may be the image drive underneath Copilot. Free version I believe limits the number of images per day. (I’m currently not using this one.)

Terminology for Image Descriptions (for communicating with AI bots)

If you want an image that looks like a photo, where a person looks like an actual person, you can use the term “photorealistic” or “realistic” in your description. For example, “a photorealistic image of a person.”

If you want a graphic that looks more like computer-generated clipart, you can use terms like “vector art,” “flat design,” “cartoonish,” “illustration,” or “2D illustration.” For instance, “a cartoonish vector illustration of a person.”
